down in my bosom is a river I love to think about
perhaps my searching feet has found it out  
and upon its banks it will rest and stir long
to steal the beauty of that brook and put it in a song
the heart will wonder on the slopes of its valley
sleep with dreams so dear to its soul
and when the falls of flower wonder through the waterfalls
singers from all village lanes will gleam
between the marvels they knew
turn a wistful face and take wings
when the unwritten song shines in folds
on the tender screen of their hearts
we’ll hear it with our own ears and see the earth
reveal a secret only the birds and the waters have known
it is the letters of three lovely words
of an unwritten song
